Chang Wuk Cheon represented Blue Fairy International from South Korea to make its debut in America. We are honored that Blue Fairy brought Asian Ball-jointed Dolls and accessories that collectors and the general public could see firsthand and for the beautiful pocket fairy doll they provided as a door prize. We are very honored that they put forth great effort to come to the U.S. and proud that there were part of our Expo.
Ringdoll also made its debut in America at this Expo. Mr. Huang Shan, the Chief Designer, is also famous in China for his cosplay. His colleague, Zhang Chi, is a lovely designer and photographer. Together, they interacted with everyone attending the Expo with the aid of translators and gained insight on what to implement in their doll designs to meet your expectations. It is our privilege that they joined us with several of their current designs on display, including a prototype not yet in production. Their 60cm Andrew was an exceptional gift to the Iconic Scene winner.
Frank and Elizabeth Miesner presented a wonderful photo workshop and our Facebook page will be spotlighting some of the resulting photos in the coming weeks. We thank them both for the tremendous effort and expertise they put into their craft and the time they spent with those attending the workshop to get everything just right.
Jessica Hamilton delighted many with her Fantasy Wig make-and-take project as they walked away with a unique wig they could call their own. The Expo thanks Jessica for adding an extra special something to the event. We appreciate her patience and participation.
Bernard Adams helped many understand the interior workings of a BJD by showing how to take apart and restring a doll. We appreciate his time and patience as one of our many volunteers.
Congratulations to the door prize winners and contestants whose 39 entries oohed and awed those attending. There is amazing talent in the BJD community. All are winners for taking the time to show us their unique talent and fairy tale renditions. We especially thank the sponsors for providing prizes and hope you will continue to visit their websites for BJD related merchandise and beautiful dolls.
The Expo also thanks Diana Vick, our guest speaker, for setting us straight on how Steampunk got its start and what it is today. Everyone is wamly invited to share in the Steamcon event later this year in Seattle where you will be further inspired.
The lovely art of Jamie Huff with her adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood also deserves special recognition as it well represented our Fairy Tale Forest theme. Hats off to her for her amazing talent.
Last, but certainly not least, the Expo appreciates all its volunteers for their uncounted hours spent in preparation and delivery as well as the amazing talent of the artists that provided the photo backdrops everyone enjoyed so much these past two years.
The Expo volunteers hope that all enjoyed this year's production and walked away inspired. All of us are happy we were able to demonstrate our vision of an event worthy of this wonderful art and are truly grateful to those that participated and supported it in some way. The Conference Center provided the ambiance we imagined for the Expo and hope all attending were pleased with the facility. It was our gift to you.
